Decompression Traction System

DTS is a non-surgical treatment to help in the management of serious low back/leg or neck/arm pain. DTS treatment is directed at relieving pressure on structures that may be a major source of pain. It can relieve the pain associated with bulging and herniated discs, degenerative discs, facet syndrome, sciatica and headaches.

DTS helps relieve pain through decompression of lumbar and cervical discs and joints (that is unloading due to distraction and positioning). This cyclical, painless stretching reduces pressure and promotes blood and fluid flow. This helps improve healing naturally.

Treatments are done fully clothed and are inherently safe. Posture exercises using biofeedback helps restore the body's musculature to ensure proper biomechanics of the spine to prevent further injury.

Chiropractic Biophysics

Chiropractic Biophysics (CBP) is a philosophy centered on improving the structural cause of muscular skeletal and neurological injuries. Poor posture, or biomechanics, can add several pounds of stress to your joints. Over time this leads to over use and inflammation. Through traction and muscle strengthening and stretching, your biomechanics can improve toward off future occurrences of your injuries.

Cold Laser Therapy

Cold Laser therapy is a non-surgical, highly effective treatment for low back, neck and disc pain, soft tissue injuries, chronic pain, joint conditions, arthritis, wound management, and inflammatory conditions. It has been highly effective for treating tendonitis, osteoarthritis, bursitis, and skin conditions.

Cold laser therapy works by promoting rapid cell growth and protein production. Proteins are used in the healing and rebuilding of cells. The faster proteins and cells are reproduced, the faster tissue heals.

There is no increase in heat when using Cold Laser Therapy, therefore it is safe to use on inflammatory conditions.

Therapeutic Massage

Therapeutic Massage is an integral part of how we at Corrective Chiropractic aid the patient in the quickest possible recovery from injury, or to aid in the biomechanical restoration of the spine and all extremities to include fingers, wrists, elbows, shoulders, hips, knees and feet.

Therapeutic Massage is helpful to increase lymphatic flow, increase blood flow, break up adhesions that form from chronic inflammation of soft tissues, increase range of motion, and generally improve an overall sense of well being. Talk to our front desk person to determine if insurance covers, or what cash rates will be. If the Doctor recommends it, it’s probably important.

Food Allergy Testing

At Corrective Chiropractic we are continually searching for the newest, innovative, and proven methods of helping our patients reach their optimal health potential. Many factors affect these decisions, most of which are based on adequate research, patient comfort, and most importantly result.

We are pleased to announce this service as state of the art within their venerable category. It is a specialized IgG food toxicity screening which is really a questionnaire designed to detect chronic symptoms in all the body systems. From there we consult with the patient for history and requisition some lab work. We typically verify or get pre-authorization prior to submitting to insurance. If you are not insured, or underinsured we have reasonably low cash prices.

The test is designed to uncover the very slow toxic reactions that foods, (even healthy foods) can have on an individual. Due to their slow reactive nature it has been my experience that the patient doesn’t “connect the dots to their foods”, as the reaction may come gradually days after ingestion. With proper testing, we can identify and eliminate these culprits before more damage is done. Information detailing this procedure is available at the clinic. Orthotics

This service is a custom building of orthotics. I know, I know, Podiatrists are supposed to be the specialist in this area. That’s what I thought too, until I took the MASS Position Theory course with Dr. Ed Glaser DPM (Podiatrist). He says they are building them incorrectly and has certified me in the proper biomechanics, and casting techniques that will not only help relieve your foot pain problems before you end up with surgery, but will help reform the foot to a more normalized one, that hurts less and works better. It’s the gradual deformities, such as flat feet, or fallen arches, that cause the arthritic changes, develop bunions, hammertoes, nueromas, and toe crowding. If you are having foot problems, they can easily end up as spinal and hip problems as well. So don’t wait until it really gets bad. Insurance typically covers them, but again if it doesn’t we can set you up with very reasonable cash rates.

Peripheral Neuropathy Pain

Neuropathy means "disease or abnormality of the nervous system". We think of peripheral neuropathy as any damage to the nervous system outside of the spinal cord. The initial symptoms of peripheral neuropathy are loss of reflexes, loss of strength and loss of sensation like numbness in the hands and feet. Over time, the sick and damaged nerves will cause tingling, burning, stabbing and shooting pains. These debilitating problems can also be at their worst at night while trying to get to sleep.

Currently, ordinary medicine has no cure for peripheral neuropathy. The extremely powerful drugs dispensed to patients do not treat the nerve damage. They numb the brain to numb the pain.
